Mossad Tournament - More details about the C-YA vs eLimination game

The first fault I have noticed from C-YA on this match was playing only 1 Medic (Advance) while eLimination played two (Techtron and Renato), taking full advantage of the Vanilla rules. Techtron played nice medic on the fight for cap 3 on well, ubering sotE (eLimination’s Heavy), while forcing C-YA to retreat. On this stage Daniel (Soldier for eLimination) forced Advance and Firefox (Heavy) to back away from cap 3 while wasting their uber. sotE played really nice Heavy on this part, taking out 3 of C-YA’s players. Thus, eLimination captured the 3rd cap. Afterwards some nice Shesek scout play won C-YA the point again, thus winning the entire match in a consistent offense. The second round went much worth for C-YA, with Advance ubering too soon and Koolfox getting killed by Daniel. The next round was too won by eLimination, thus granting them the cp_well win.

I really can’t see why C-YA did not use their best roster for this one – They only played a single medic, and Sabin, Scooz, Mohawk and other topnotch C-YA players were absent from this match, giving eLimination a nice shot at winning. A couple of players who really stood out for me were Shesek, with his usual amazing Scout play, though he wasn’t able to decide the match. sotE, with dominating Heavy play and Techtron with really nice Medic performance. Sikeh too played very nice Soldier, though sotE kept forcing him to retreat.

I only wrote about the Well game because Gravelpit didn’t really stand out, it was the usual tie (3-3).

LukeAR, The game’s refree, wrote his impressions about it as well:

Map 1: cp_well:
eL! started off with a strong offense causing C-YA to fortify positions in their base for a while. C-YA got a break and proceeded forcing their way to the first point of the match (C-YA 1-0). eL!, not giving up the fight did a blitz-krieg over C-YA territory for the tie and proceeded with a fierce fight resulting 2-1 eL!.

Map 2: cp_gravelpit C-YA started the match on offense storming through point A. Point B was fought over fiercly and eL! proved to be an equaled match. C-YA finaly capped point B and fiddled around point C for a few minutes until the coveted capture (C-YA 3-0). eL!s game was a mirror image of C-YAs game with the blitz through A, fight over B, and a shorter and firmer capture of point C (TIE 3-3).

In general, this was a very decent game from both teams. eLimination impressed us with really neat gameplay and players, keep up the good work. From C-YA’s side this was a pretty weak game that does not meet their usual standards.

I think eLimination could do better.

Why is that?
